BASF SE is a well-known German chemical company and one of the largest chemical plants in the world. The BASF Zhanjiang integrated base under construction is a comprehensive chemical production base and is BASF's largest overseas investment project so far, with an estimated total investment of up to US$10 billion.
The supporting public and auxiliary facilities constructed in the first phase of the project include a set of wastewater treatment equipment,which is customized by BASF, and Sedum Environmental Technology provides it with design solutions, manufacturing and post-service services.The main water environmental pollutants in the plant area mainly include CODCr, BOD5, petroleum, NH3-N, volatile phenol, etc., which are discharged into the municipal sewage pipe network of the park after the wastewater treatment reaches the standard.
Background of the project: In the design and manufacturing process of the integrated sewage treatment equipment, both material selection, manufacturing process, personnel qualifications, quality inspection standards and on-site construction must strictly follow BASF's global unified high-standard quality system manufacturing requirements, product quality and performance. All of them need to meet the strict internal use standards of BASF. At present, the project has completed the factory acceptance, and the on-site installation work is in progress.
